Welcome to the Birthlight in China Blog!
Welcome to all Birthlight members and friends who are interested in this special trip to China by two Birthlight members. Julia de Lucchi and Shawn Tomlinson are leaving on March 10 to spend some time in China working with babies there. When they get a chance they will write to us about their experience via this blog (web log). A blog also enables you to make comments (encouraging ones of course!) on what they write after each of their entries in the blog (click on the "comments" link at the end of the blog entry that they write). They will make entries as and when they can to let you know how things are going. So, get blogging Birthlight!

Hi, I hear that you are finding it hard to find vegi food in china.
We went to a cafeteria looking place one lunch time in Beijing and choose some scrambled egg and tin tomatoes(well that’s what it looked like to us) but it was sooo delicious.
God Bless
Look forward to hearing from you

(from Kath) Hiya Jules,
What a far cry this experience has been from Heng Yeng Orphanage...the child to carer ratio and the interest of the carers in what you have to teach. The DVD is a wonderful idea, you can reach so many more people than just those you directly come into contact with on this trip. Sorry Shawn has been ill, hope her tummy recovers soon. Giggle about her joining the OAPs doing exercise, just like Shawn!
Glad this experience is so much more positive, keep us posted. The pictures are GREAT! clever girl you.

Oops, sorry. First time I'm commenting on a Blog and I see I've managed to repeat myself. Mmmm...and my computer isn't even in Chinese....
